The 16th Annual Lyon Township International Kite Festival Returns for a Spectacular Weekend of Family Fun
The highly anticipated 16th Annual Lyon Township International Kite Festival is set to take place on Saturday, June 7th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, June 8th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at James Atchinson Park, located at 58000 Grand River Avenue in New Hudson. The park is conveniently situated near I-96, exit 155A. Admission to the festival is free for all attendees, and parking is available for $10 with handicap parking options also provided.
Hosting the kite flying professionals is John Trennepohl, Owner of Kites & Fun Things in Plymouth, Michigan, He and these other flyers will showcase their award-winning skills and mesmerizing techniques, all choreographed to captivating music that promises to dazzle spectators of all ages.
Children attending the festival will receive a complimentary kite (while supplies last) that they can personalize with their own decorations, adding to the excitement of the event. Attendees can look forward to an array of activities and attractions, including:
