Ben Traverse & Nick Veine Hometown Celebration @ The Ramsdell Theatre

For over a decade, Nick Veine & Ben Traverse have been weaving their musical paths through Michigan’s vibrant music scene. Now they’re coming home to where it all began. On 10/19, the two will return to the Ramsdell Theatre for a heartfelt celebration of their shared roots.

After the success of their recent album tour—culminating in a sold-out show at Ramsdell’s Hardy Hall—Nick & Ben are excited to take the main stage. This time, they, alongside their band, will present an evening filled with Irish melodies, beloved folk songs, and soulful blues, offering audiences a taste of the diverse musical traditions they’ve dedicated their lives to preserving and sharing. It's a night that promises to bring back the timeless sounds and warm memories of Manistee, wrapped in the familiar charm of the Historic Ramsdell Theatre. Expect great music, a bit of folk history, and, as the Irish say, plenty of craic (good times).

Their friendship and musical partnership run deep. Both proudly call Manistee their hometown, where Nick, with his award-winning band Awesome Distraction, gave Ben their first chance to perform. Over the years, the two ventured down their own musical paths—Nick studying jazz, and Ben immersing themself in the rich traditions of folk music. But their love for music, history, and the sense of community has always drawn them back together, leading to their latest collaborative release—a true reflection of their shared journey.
