The Michigan Irish Music Festival is a four-day world class Music Festival that promotes Irish culture and heritage, enhancing the community as a destination through entertainment, tourism, education, and philanthropy. Featuring outstanding bands from Ireland, Scotland, Canada, and from the United States there is something for everyone. Ranging from traditional to contemporary to rock to punk, all Irish music genres can be found at the festival. A strong showing of cultural programs featuring speakers, workshops, exhibits and hands on children's activities are also offered. A large variety of food ranging from Festival favorites to traditional Irish fare can be purchased, along with a never ending menu of beverages; Irish favorites included. The Festival kicks off on Thursday night with a Pub Preview Party from 5pm until 10pm, please note there is no shopping or children's activities on Thursday; one stage only but packed with four bands. On Friday the gates open at 5pm and the full festival is open until 11pm. Saturday hours are 11am-11pm and the weekend is finished on Sunday with gates opening at 10:30 am, starting with a Catholic Mass and going all day until the gates close at 5pm.
