Quilting Workshop - Half Square Triangles

Old Jail
220 S. Stewart Avenue,
Big Rapids, MI 49307
Description
The Half Square Triangle is one of the most basic units in quilting and most commonly used patchwork component you’ll encounter. Also referred to as either 'HST' or 'triangle square,' these units are simply a square made from two equal right triangles. By attending this workshop, you will learn different methods of making perfect half square triangles every time. This informative, free event will teach you how the half square triangles are so versatile for creating a seemingly endless variety of quick and easy quilt designs. There will be several quilts and pieces on display to help you see some of the possibilities using the half square triangles, and if time permits, you can make a project yourself.

The instructor of the workshop is Mary Picucci, a talented quilter with many years of experience teaching and creating beautiful quilts. She is also the founder of the Quilts of Valor group in Big Rapids, which began in 2015.

Registration is required, as space is limited.
