The Urbanwood Project is a Michigan-based network of family-owned businesses that salvage logs from dead, dying, and removed trees in local neighborhoods. These businesses partner with several nonprofit resale organizations to sell sustainable lumber, slabs and other truly unique wood products in several area marketplaces. As the nation's first Urbanwood Marketplace, a visit to Recycle Ann Arbor's ReUse Center is a woodworker's dream, with products representing the full diversity of southeastern Michigan's street trees.
