Luge, Tubing, & Sledding
Thrill of the hill.
When it comes to making memories with the family, it doesn’t get any better than an afternoon sledding or tubing in Michigan.
No matter your sledding style – taking it easy down rolling hills or screaming down icy slopes – Michigan has you covered. This popular winter activity offers the thrill of the hill in communities and ski resorts all across Michigan. Many county parks and recreation areas also offer toboggan runs, and there is almost always a hill nearby daring you to jump on your sled.
The more adventurous may want to make a visit to the Muskegon Winter Sports Complex, which not only offers a family sledding area, but also one of only four publically accessible luge tracks in the nation. Olympic thrills come with sliding down the 850 foot track designed by three-time Olympian Frank Masley. Are you ready to race to the bottom in Pure Michigan?
A popular and well-known wintertime activities is sledding and snow tubing. Pure Michigan winters offer plenty of hills and slopes for families and kids of all ages.
