Sugar cookies and a smile greet every guest to this 1888 Stick-style residence. Once the home of a founding family of Milan, the Hack House now attracts visitors interested in the architecture, furnishings, and decorative objects of the late Victorian period. Four outbuildings (including a three-seat outhouse) and period gardens complete a pastoral picture of 19th-century life. Tours of the Hack House Museum are scheduled on Fridays from 1-4 p.m. May through November, with tickets priced at $2 for adults, $1 for school-age children, and free for children under 5. Special tours for groups may be arranged upon request.
