Lower Peninsula
In Michigan’s Northeast, viewers to the area around Oscoda will find area's beech trees on US-23 are highlighting pastel peach and cream colors that sometimes go unnoticed against a radiating palette of autumn color. If you’re in the area this weekend, travel along the River Road Scenic Byway to catch a glimpse of the color above the high rolling banks. See bright colors contrasting along the banks of the AuSable River on the horizon of the Huron National Forest.
In the West Branch area, most country roads have an array of colors from green to an abundance of red, orange, yellow and gold. Several areas of the Ogemaw Hills have a majestic vista with dazzling color combinations. Locals anticipate peak conditions will overtake the area in less than one week
